BC has something similar. Lots of people selling wildflowers/honey at the end of their driveway. I suspect that most may be a game and the family throws 5K in the pot to save 10K in property tax.Look into this as I do not know the exact details and fine print.
I was sold by a friend who also has a large rural property in Sunderland, that for tax purposes, your property can be considered a "farm" if you have $5000 (maybe $7000) of annual from said farm.
All you need is a dozen chickens and a chicken coop. $5 a dozen eggs.
