2022 insurance

I guess it depends on who knows what, but... We left the personal due to the significantly higher rates they wanted to charge us.
Went with another carrier for our house/cars and bought better coverage for about 30% less.
Unfortunately our current insurance co. doesn't do bikes so... I'm with a different company for that, but being "mature" those rates arent killer no matter who I call.

The Personal only gives good pricing as long as you're part of the group. Once you're no longer covered by their group policy, the price goes up, as it did for me when my company switched to someone else.

Thing is.. I'm in "the" group. Probably their largest group...

Anyway... screw 'em.
Got a better deal elsewhere.

I Just got my renewal for my black listed bike which is on a stand alone policy and it went down 8 cents per month.

Well I hope its just TD's system that is off as I just got my renewal for my 929rr went from $947 to $2198 liability, wife will call tomorrow I hope it can be rectified.

Just got my renewal from TD no change 1200 for 3 bikes
Wife still needs to call and have hers fixed.

Good news same here, wife texted me at work and said it was there system still paying $947....so glad as TD has been decent thus far.

I'm soooo glad that I came here to see this thread. I had a major shock when I got the renewal form. Call them & they confirmed the mistake.
Thanks everyone.

Anyone have experience with CAA for home and auto?? Economical has been slowly jacking up my rates for the last few years and are now way overpriced. CAA is cheaper with my three vehicles and house (they do not do bikes). Looking for information before I make the change.

Hagerty is worth checking out if you have an enthusiast car that you don't commute daily in. No mileage limitations and depending on the car's age, they're OK with you occasionally using it to go to work or errands/shopping (case by case basis). But you do need at least one car on a standard policy with another company.

I quote them every year and usually they're not even close for me on the car

Thank you to the TD folks for reporting back in this thread! Got my paperwork today and it had more than doubled in price. Quick call and got it back down to where it should have been. Price is actually $65 lower than last year after the correction.

You can tell if your policy is messed up or not by finding the "Driving Record" section on the back of one of the pages, at the bottom of the page that has your total policy premium listed. If it's messed up you'll have a bunch of zeros in the Driving Record column, next to the BI/PD/AB/DCPD/etc rows, instead of your actual number of riding years (normally capped at 7).

CAA is most always equal or better for my vehicles. Insurance is so complicated with everyone getting different rates for the same vehicles. CAA is currently 1500 cheaper for two vehicles and a house. My other car currently is asleep with just fire and theft, so I will have to call and get its renewal rate

Maybe with TD melloche will check the personal next week the other 4 are on a different policy with melloche. Crazy thing is 1400 is for accident benefits. Everything else is peanuts

Hey i have the same issue with my TD melloche, went from 790 to 1730 and most of it is accident benefit

Same issue with TD but a call and it's back down. She said they've got people working on it but part of me wonders if the people that never call back and think "oh well" will stay at the higher rate.
