12 weeks = 3 months. That's the UK's delay between doses. The situation isn't going to fall off a cliff after that.

That would be so convenient if we could simply extrapolate from existing data. Is testing really necessary?
Should we just do what they do with some computer software, and do beta testing in the live environment?
 
Still waiting here. I was able to book though, and go in next Friday (May 21). Will be either Pfizer or Moderna, but guessing probably Pfizer given supply.

Glad to see the delayed second shot gamble might actually pay off. Hoping though they do let us get shot 2 in less than 16 weeks after shot 1...I'd like to have both before fall when I'll likely be called back into the office again. Really don't want to be on the TTC every day without both shots first.

my recent experience was pretty impressive, they've got everything down to a T, and the vaccination process runs like a swiss clock

It's increasingly likely some sort of digital verification (IE, Vaccine Passport) will come to fruition. For what little travel opportunities and options there are right now, they pretty much all universally require proof of vaccination already. There's slim to no chance that won't become the norm.
 
was waiting on J&J one shot but looks like it has same issues as AZ. Still waiting on news to hear if any newer clinical studies are done for the India Variant..

J&J efficacy is substantially lower than a double shot of the others (and similar to a single shot of the others). In my view there are clear preferred and less preferred options and J&J is at the back of the pack. Others may have a different opinion and that's ok.
 
I have a suspicion - nothing more! - that one shot of J&J is like one shot of any of the others, and it would benefit from a second dose after some period of time just like the others do, it's just that J&J's trials were predicated on it being a one-and-done vaccine.

Mrna vax sent to some pharmacies in hot zones recently. As AZ is no longer being used for first shots, I expect more and more pharmacies will get mrna so they have something to inject.
 
I got the pfizer at the clinic, the nice lady told me they wont be mixing and matching the vaccines (so if you get pfizer, your 2nd shot will also be pfizer, moderna etc etc)

Right noew people are linning up to get the vaccines . No need to kidnap anyone . Yet all the vaccines are only approved under emergency measures . No one know long tern effects .

A study of 175 people ? That is a pretty small group . Do you actually read the arcticle ?

" The team concluded that extending administration of the second Pfizer vaccine to 12 weeks potentially enhances and extends antibody immunity, which is believed to be important in virus neutralisation and prevention of infection. "

“ The enhanced antibody responses seen after an extended interval may help to sustain immunity against COVID-19 over the longer term and further improve the clinical efficacy of this powerful vaccine platform."

Key words that dismisses the study right off the bat " potentially " and " may " .
