Lambo Stolen In Tdot - Cops ask for help

The overwhelming majority of these big boy cars are leased. Doesn’t make sense to pay tax and interest on the full purchase price at that price point. Pay for what your going to use and then change it up. Either through the manufacturer or through private leasing companies.

Banks will finance them though if you want. Those long finance terms you mention @mimico_polak I’ve heard of in the U.S. but not really here. It is pretty common to finance boats for that length of time here. I don’t think it’s through traditional banks.

@bigpoppa I know TD, National bank and Laurentian bank offer powersports financing through dealers. But yeah the majority don’t. I think it’s probably because there really isn’t much interest to be earned lending money on $10,000 bikes.

the used markets for those must be huge then?

Go big or go home. I knew a guy in the 70's that was taken away in cuffs by the rcmp from a place where i skydived. He always drove a **** car (different every week). He was stealing ocean going sailboats from the eastern seaboard and selling them in the Mediterranean. Big money.

Is this one of the references where the ‘good ol days’ were actually better than current time?? LoL

You could also buy a home working a low skill job at the grocery store, and support a family on one income but yes

Weirdly that is easier than it sounds, big boats are federally registered by "name" like Windflyer III, so when an announcement goes out , hey anybody see a 50ft white sailboat? (with a new vinyl transfer name decal) . Yes there about about 100 in every harbour.

I think I've seen Scotia at bike shows with a booth and I think I remember 13.9%?? you can make money at that rate.

@Mimico , the Jag dealer wasn't RobertMotors was it?? They had some challenges at one point.

We scooped a motorcycle from a guy with bad credit who didn't qualify for his first loan. He came back to the dealership with new financing: 23% APR.

Banks do give out loans, but if you're high-risk, they'll make sure they get all their interest up-front so even if you default after 3 or 4 payments, all the bank has to worry about is that when they repo the vehicle, it won't be trashed...

He was caught with a bait (hidden transmitter) boat stolen from Cape Cod.

Funny , I just got an alert (different site I belong to) a sailboat in Marathon Fl. has gone "missing" from her berth overnite. Power cord was taken and the dock lines are also gone. Untied and unplugged itself.... motored itself out of a 350 boat facility.

I good friend is in lease financing, he doesnt write leases he provides cash to the companies that then lease equipment. I understand leasing a $50,000 hydraulic press for your business, I just don't get leasing a travel trailer at 17.9% interest,

if I was a travel trailer salesman i would TOTALLY get it, but I'm not...

Why pay 20-30k (or whatever it costs) if you can pay $300-400/month...it’s the smart thing to do! (Sarcasm just in case)

Google delamination in RV's and wonder why anyone buys the things at all.

If my thirteen year old Chevy Shitlander was stolen from my driveway, could I expect the same level of service from the police? Press releases and coverage on social media?

Edit: Of course, it's not likely to be stolen; nobody would want it.
