Is there any real eye candy on this show?
Rebecca Romijn still got it, and Michelle Yeoh cougar appeal, is there anything more, speaking from the male perspective.

I think SM-G is very attractive. Just not from a male-gaze point of view, which I think is what the producers are aiming for. It's very deliberately Not-An-Eye-Candy kind of show.

But if you're not going to have eye-candy, then at least have good writing.

Which it doesn't.

Most of the cast are good actors, but there are some real duds. Everytime Tig Notaro comes on-screen, I want to FF. Same with Wilson Cruz. Terrible.

Just finished binge watching season 1 today:

Super slow...but very well drawn out if you have nothing else lined up for the day : )

Too Canadian. It feels so much like growing up in Brampton that I can't watch it. Strangely enough that's also why my mother can't watch "Trailer Park Boys"; too much like growing up in New Brunswick/Nova Scotia.

Every Russell Peters stand-up already has that covered. His brother and manager, Clayton, and my mother got along like gang busters.

Halt and Catch Fire - Netflix. Set in the early 80s during the home PC war. Maybe I like it as I work in the industry. It’s a few years old but I just discovered it.

It's quote possible...
As a referee of thousands of hockey games, I can say that the Native Americans (please, don't accuse me of being racist - I am simply lacking a more appropriate politically correct term) in general are a little more "on edge". They're playing the game, many at an extremely high level, but some are the meat heads and try to get away with it with the "race" card.

Warrior is a great series. It’s from Cinemax the same company that brought you Strikeback and Banshee and it’s filmed in a similar way to Banshee with a familiar face in there too. It’s a martial arts/action series centred around Chinese immigrants to late 1800's San Francisco and it’s campy, violent and a lot of fun.

Ha funny, I was just going to post something about this series, watching season 2 right now. Yes campy, but some nice eyecandy. Enjoying it.
