Every day I say to myself "Really? He couldn't possibly say/do anything stupider", and the next day he raises the bar once again. Petulant, hypocritical, man-child.
Not at all surprising but still disappointing. DND is cracking down on leaks of non-classified information as they keep getting black eyes by blatantly lying in official press releases and getting contradicted by the truth. The ability to control the narrative and sweep issues under the rug is much more important than the truth. Sounds like JT's motto.

Oh please baby Jeebus, do not let JT read what France has done. It is right up his alley. Light a huge pile of money on fire, call it an environmental initiative and it has absolutely zero chance of making any difference whatsoever.
If there is any transportation method where energy density matters it's aviation. Incorporation of any electric/hydrogen will just be a fart in the wind as they don't have nearly enough energy density to be considered for propulsion for many more decades.

Singh ripped JT a new one for being two-faced and criminalizing people that applied for CERB after publicly stating many many times that you should apply if you need it and they will sort it out later and you will not be punished.
Singh wants unqualified CERB candidates to repay through the tax system. He thinks criminal system should not be a part of the solution. I don't entirely agree, I think criminal should be considered where there are egregious violations, but for the vast majority, just allow a mea culpa and repay. Businesses got interest free loans, this is just an interest free loan to the taxpayer. Hell, bump up their tax collected off they income for the next few years to ensure it gets paid back in a timely but feasible manner.

I think that if you just have people pay it back, you are essentially giving these people an interest-free loan they shouldn't have. This means that not only are they getting an interest-free loan, everyone else is paying for them to do so; the interest on that money and probably the devaluation of the currency due to more money printing falls onto all of us.
If someone is defrauding the government, they should be dealt with. The mixed messages are a problem, but I'm not sure what the actual fine print was when applying for CERB (which is what actually counts).

Apparently this is the guy who responded to someone regarding the OIC/Assault "style" weapons ban with the admission that they couldn't get sufficient support for a bill so had to go through the OIC.

No wonder JT picked him. He's perfect. No relevant experience and a super sketchy guy but he's an immigrant (and for bonus point a refugee) with a political science degree.
After his election, he told the Waterloo Region Record , his local newspaper, that before politics he worked in various jobs, including construction, electrical, roofing, temp work and as a line supervisor at the Frito-Lay snack plant.
He said when he was a young child, he and his family fled Lebanon during that country’s civil war and immigrated to Canada. He has a degree in political science from the University of Guelph.

He may not be wrong. His opposition fields either bad people or worse ideas. I may like Singh the best as a person but very strongly dislike almost all of his policies. He would make JT look cheap.
