What to do with my CBR600RR

I still have riding interest but it has diminished over the time due to lack of time and bouncing with other things in life. My insurance for a 750 is $590 (increase of $44 this renewal) and that is why I kind of kept the bike, so I can ride still whenever I want. I am thinking of picking up a small and cheap dual sport in the winter and probably sell the gsxr in summer. Would be cool to pay maybe $300 for a dual sport insurance.

If you aren’t commuting on a bike it gets hard to justify owning one in the GTA.

I did that for 4 years. Early spring to late fall. Best work commute ever. I would not even have car insurance during summer.

I think a realistic asking price is $5K, consider $4-4500 as an acceptable offer if it's in decent shape -- less if it needs work to get it back on the road.

If you're not interested in the selling work, set the price at $3999 and it should be gone quick.

Since you have a Tesla, you'll need backup transportation since they are reliable as a Fiat.
I haven't heard of too many reliability issues. Largest downside is an extended nightmare if it requires parts (most often due to a collision).

LOL

No meaningful issues at 126k on the car ... but the difference is that when some old lady ran a red and hit the right rear corner of mine, there were no issues getting parts for it ... Magnitude of the hit was about the same as TFLcar's Tesla prang but mine didn't take months to get fixed ...

One of the reasons I sold my Rebel....no time.
I work 3/4 weeks out of province then when I’m home I feel selfish by going out for half a day to some decent roads and leaving the wife and kids alone.

1000km/year isn’t worth it to me unfortunately to plate, insure, store and keep just sitting gathering dust. Plus the fact the bike was so uninspiring didn’t help! LoL

Need a roadster! At least the wife can come with.

I've been debating putting a deposit for the tesla roadster

I really want to see if this car lives up to it's claims, Teslas fall short at higher speeds but the Tesla Roadster they're claiming over 400 kph... $322K CAD for the founders edition and that's before tax. It will really have to live up to the claims.

I'll tell you what I can do.
I'll come pick it up. Mount 5 Go Pro's on it.
I will ride it like I stole it every day.
You can post the videos on your Instagram and you say it was you riding it.

You feel like a hero, I enjoy a nice CBR600RR riding it to the limits, it's a win, win.

P.M. me if this interests you.

I'd pay $100 for someone to punch you in the nuts.
that would cost at least 800$. up front. maybe more because everyone knows you have a tesla

I wouldn't expect to get an offer over $3000 for your cbr600rr - as it sits, non running and without a key. and thats if you kept the gas tank full so it hasn't rusted...

Money's cool but the pharaohs tried to take it with them(it didnt work)
your only here for a little while, enjoy it while you can, maybe make some lifestyle changes if riding means a lot to you, if not, find something else that makes you happy.

Pretty sure poster owns businesses.. and has employees.. that have 'jobs'
Do you know how busy you are when you own a business? In season, I don't have a single day off from March to November. Like having 3~4 jobs. Don't ever think the business owners work less.

I ride to save time traveling.
