GTAM Member review/feedback

Rule one of the new 'age' of buying/selling:

(remarkably) Dust off your phones and vet out the tire-kickers (lowballers) from the legitimate buyers. I've given away couches (why do those transactions always attract the mouth-breathers..) to selling cars, and you can almost always gauge what type of transaction it will be over 2 minutes on the phone.

If we can't do a buyer's feedback system (bimmerforums/rfd), we can do heatscore/buyer feedback thread. One thread per username, in specific section of the forum.

KLRGUY - Bought a bike from me last Fall. We negotiated and reached a deal which included delivery. I received a down payment before delivery to ensure my costs would be covered if he decided to change his mind after I got there with the bike. I delivered the bike, we exchanged money and ownership. Done.

Thanks man - I likewise recommend you.

I'll throw Mina's name up as a good guy. He's buying a trailer off me, he's come by and we've agreed on a price but pickup is waiting on a hitch install and our schedules don't always jive. Last Thursday he sent a text wanting to come by and pick it up within the hour as he needed it for today, but my phone was off as I'd been at a medical appt. earlier with my son. By the time I noticed the message he had to go to work and I was going to Montreal on Friday for the weekend (as an aside if you haven't been to Montreal - go! - unbelievable number of super hot women) - he mentioned he'd just rent a uhaul trailer. Since it was totally my screwup missing the text I offered to knock $20 off the price - he declined - indicating the original price was more than fair. Solid guy.

He said he needs it for his MSF course today. If i can bring it to him

So Khan450 - how did the MSF course go without the jacket?

Oh - let me guess your reply... "I just low balled the next guy who was already on his way from Niagara".

It's amazing the common sense (or maybe common decency or common respect) some people seem to lack these days.

Sweet. Mina, you gotta buy something from me. :D
Good buyers are hard to come by.

"If i was educated, I'd be a damn fool"

I live by finch / islington, I told him id be at seneca and he was by kennedy / 401. I asked if we could meet at seneca because I was headed there. We did not agree on a price before meeting, nor did I want to make a blind offer over the phone. I dont believe $70 was a lowball offer.. he was asking $75 for it. he said no and put the jacket back in his car.. then I said "well thanks anyways" and left, theres two sides to this story and you can believe whoever you want.

On another note, I dont want a bad name on here... nor do I want to hold grudges and what not.

Thanks for the efforts CBC
Years ago i was in a relationship with someone, the person wanted to buy a 250, we drove up to hamilton to see the bike, she liked it (good price) I gave the guy 500 as a deposit, ex GF never came through with the rest of the money. I called the guy and told him, I am not buying the bike, enjoy your 500 bucks. Not his fault, it was mine.

Sometimes **** happen but you have to do your best to honor your word.

Mina is a good guy to deal with, so is Dricket

Where did it say 75 negotiable? As the rest of the forum says. I will not drive it out to you. Local Tim's is fine. But I'm not going out of my way to get low balled...

Most of my kijiji transactions were great actually. Recently, bought a fairly new tracksuit(senior, retiring), for $60, show up at the guys house within half hour of posting the ad. Same goes for my boots, meet the next day half way during lunch break.

When selling things, I usually tell the interested parties the sale is pending. eg, if i still have it tomorrow, it's yours.

Never drive out of your way. Meet along your commute or near your place.

Thrills - Good guy to deal with, I bought my drz off him. We agreed upon a price, and he delivered. In addition, he met up later on to give me some grips that he had for the bike. Would do business again.

That happened to me years ago. In my younger/dumber days I thought I could sell my Mustang and EX500 for enough to buy a really nice 91 ZX7R. Left a deposit, couldn't sell my bike and car for what I though they were worth.. never even asked for my deposit back.

I blame it on the track... :( and my blown r/r. Now that I have all the parts, I'm hoping I can get it on the road tomorrow.

This is hilarious. :lmao:
Roomie was actually taking a shot at me, not you, Mina.

Aww shucks, thanks buddy.

CBC try not to change your ways. Don't let one clown ruin it for the others.
We all know he will get his day stuck at the side of the road and likely you will be the one rolling by him.

On a positive note Paul1000rr was asking $40 to install rim tape per wheel.
I gave him $10 and a box of day old timbits.

I Helped my mom buy a tank bag off this forum. I believe it wasdaisoman, we agreed on the price, road over picked it up and paid him. Not a problem. And for all the kijiji scammers and that there are also some good guys. I was selling a Chinese windscreen after my brother had received a wrong one, I had it up for $5 and the easiest way to get the windscreen to buddy I just left it on the doorstep and asked him to put money in my mail box. Didn't really care if he just took it and ran but I was glad to see he was a good guy

Had some good experience s recently on kijiji on high price items. I just ignore the low ball offers now
