fight it, you have much to learn. those of us who've been riding for years are still learning.

He's right. The limited power output allows you to focus on honing your skills and having fun, instead of focusing on trying to control a bike you thought you were ready for and not dying.

As the saying goes, it's way more fun to ride a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow.
