Anyone catch the races at Miller Motorsports Park on Monday?
First time I've seen WSKB and AMA at the same track on the same day (WSBK race 1 around noon, then AMA, then WSBK race 2 at 7pm).
The difference in lap times is negligible between the 2 series all in all. So, why bother having the 2 circuits? I'm guessing it's the money factor - WSBK has lots of it, AMA not so much so. WSBK goes all over the world, AMA stays in the US. Travel would make it pretty much impossible for smaller manufacturers (i.e. EBR) or privateer teams to stay in the WSBK.
But, I would like to see the AMA top riders compete head on against the WSBK riders...
Thoughts?
