First day buddy has had a bird on the front lawn this year. I was beginning to think he may have pulled a FUI.
Noticed one of the "new" (built 1985) RCMP Blackhawks "patrolling" (flying precisely above) the "border" (the north and south shorelines of the peninsula) today, C-FHKS. I wonder if their mission is literally to fly along the shoreline so that they can produce the flight track and say that they're doing something.

August again and buddy on 7th concession didn't have a bird in the yard till now again this year. Maybe he's getting bored (or the walls are crumbling?).
