Across the bridge onto Wykoffs Run ( PA 555 ) and just at the first turn - guy in a big pickup is stopped - no signals, no brake lights - nada. ( just like our chatty road rager last time....'cept noooooobody around...just stopped.

Hit the Burgman horn ( which is decently loud ) politely and just about to gun it around him and sure enough - completely oblivious he turns left into a gravel parking area. :banghead: Musta got lost on the way to church....
I could see as he turned he was looking down at something and wasn't even aware I was anywhere near...never looked up.

Gonna get me a Stebbel and scare the **** out these ****heads.

I have one. It's nice and loud does a good job of waking sleeping comuters that drift into my lane in the morning.

Have one on my V-Strom, and it is probably one of the best purchases I've made for the bike. Has definitely helped to prevent more than a few potential situations...

Put one on my Fizzer and it significantly cut down on the number of people making a right turn in front of me. Then they went from "Made in Italy" to "Designed in Italy", meaning they fired all their local production staff and moved their production to China. Since that happened, there was a flood of very similar horns in the $25-30 shipped range on Ebay with "Italian Technology" written on the package. Gave me perverse pleasure to order one and mount it in my cage (it's a Honda with a sad "meep-meep" horn in stock trim).. Loved it every since - works great on jaywalkers and left lane bandits  If you decide to go with a ChiNautilus horn, beware that mine had an improperly wired harness so I had to rewire it, but it's worked great ever since. You can even forgo the harness, attach some spade connectors and plug them directly onto the relay.. I was just being stubborn

Edit: Wow, they're even cheaper.. You can get'em for $20ish shipped.. Just search e-bay for "compact air horn" and sort "price plus shipping lowest first"

You can also pick up a Wolo "Bad Boy" Horn from princess auto. It's a Stebel knock off and works just as well. Regular price $29 but I've seen it on sale for $14.99 before.

Got one shoehorned on my monster. Probably my favourite mod. Brings a smile to my face every time I hit the horn button. Picked it up at Canadian Tire, Fiamm branded but the actual horn is a Stebel. Make sure you use the relay so you dont fry your bikes wiring, all you need is some 12ga wire, spade connectors and an 20A inline fuse.

There were a couple of threads on these last year.

I have one on my VFR800.

I bought this one, it's a legit Stebel but rebranded.

If you can't find a decent place to mount it, you can separate the compressor from the horn and use a vacuum line (those clear vinyl ones from Home Depot) between the two and mount them in different areas. I had to do this.. ended up mounting the compressor (make sure it's always upright) in the right fairing and mounted the horn in the factory location.

I'm going to get one for my car!

Edit: Exactly what theprocess said.

Don't mind the dirt. Its is a Stebel. Been mounted there for 30,000km now through all kinds of weather and works just fine.

The stebel is one of my fav mods on my ZRX. I love the volume but don't like the look of it. I separated the compressor from the horn to make less conspicuous. It takes people a while to find it.

Guy I know that live around the corner (Harkey guy) has one. Scares the shat out of me if i am out working in the yard and he rides by, I give him a wave and he give a toot on the horn back, but it sounds like a ship is leaving port

Best MOD added to my SV. Harbor freight carry them as well but they are knock off but have one in my truck works just as good.

Thanks guys - couple of times could have used on the PA trip including would have been fun to see the young bear speed up his gallop across 144 in front of me :D
On the bucket list for sure.

Got one years ago, and had one on every bike since. Easy mode with best benefits, ESPECIALLY if you commute. Wakes people up right quick and in a hurry.

Got mine from TwistedThrottle couple years back. They've really come down in price.
