What did you do in your garage today..?

Same, but I’m running out of things to do as none of the bikes need any maintenance. Going to reorganize my toolboxes as a make-work project.
No sleds this winter?

I made the ill-advised choice to break a path to go skiing today. It turns out that walking through snow above my knees is much harder than when I was younger. It brought back memories of past snowmobile adventures.

Sold sleds/trailer/gear last winter as we weren’t getting out enough. I miss it, but I don’t miss how short of a season it is and all the maintenance and space they require.

I really should sell my sleds. I need to cross at least Lake Couchiching to get to the trails from our place, and it's not usually frozen thick enough for my comfort for long. And I don't really care much for trailering. There have been entire seasons where I didn't even run them.

I had the same issue. Lake O to the south so going North/East/West were my only options and with a lake to my immediate North that wasn't even being staked/checked much anymore and losing trails East/West meant more road-riding than I liked locked me into riding local trails only as I wasn't into trailering much either unless for special rides.

I had that exact feeling in 2005 when I decided it was too much work to sled if I had to trailer 2 hours.

I started spending time in the North after retiring (sort of retiring), and now it's time to go big again, as we had ridable snow mid-November and it will be there till the end of March. I have a cute 550 Polaris Indy that I can ride straight from my house to a million miles of trails. I wasn't sure if I'd get the snow bug -- now I have it so I'm thinking its time to man up and get back to my usual 800 class hardware.

Sled sales are in the toilet right now and amazing deals can be had on amazing machines. Having sleds with good Hi/Lo comp adjustable shocks was a game changer for me in having a sled that handled great in all conditions and not having to touch the clickers part way through the day. If we ever move an hour or so further north we'd have sleds again for sure.

Cleaned my MX and street helmets. After two years I realized the chin vent on my HJC 71 also has a tilt feature when in the open position. I googled it after discovering it and it's called an air "Turbo Boost". This will definitely make me faster next season!
It did make getting the 4 housefly sized bugs out of there easier though.

Finally got the oil and filter changed on the bike and the mower. I’m figured it was as warm as it was gonna get for some time. Ready for the winter nap.

It's a matte coating they put on for some reason. Dunno why.

No sir. I will not let you throw away the reputation and credibility you've earned in this community. Don't say "Dunno why" when you know exactly why lol

Do it right? 🚫
Do it cheap? ✅

Royal-Enfield being Royal-Enfield.

Ok. My guess is that it has something to do with the change to 2 into 1. All the other RE 650s use twin pipes the same metal finish.
