Did you fix the stuck slide pins?
I always pull everything apart, clean and lube.Did you fix the stuck slide pins?
I put the bike on the center and then add enough weight on the rear rack that the front comes off the ground. Remove front and put car jack or stands under a fork leg then remove the rear tire. Same process for dirtbike although I use a jack-stand under it.Put some new rubber on the vStrom, and did a quick test ride this morning. All good. Same stock tires which came with the bike, except they are the updated versions of the Bridgestone BattleAxe.
The real challenge was getting both wheels off using the centre stand. It only lifts the rear tire. Had to rig up something with my scissor jack and some 2x4's to lift the front. Will post something on that another time.
Found out my wheels didn't have any weights applied to them, I always felt the front tire wasn't balance properly. Now they are both good. Was all done at GP.
One weird thing GP mentioned was to take it easy for the first 100k, as the tire release's some chemical slime and any speedy acceleration might give unexpected results. Anyone heard of this?

It is release agent so the tires don't stick to the molds. It's not being released, it's just like a layer of oil on the surface..

You explained it better then service rep. BTW they also had me sign a wavier understanding the caution. It is release agent so the tires don't stick to the molds. It's not being released, it's just like a layer of oil on the surface.
I've heard of something like that.I put the bike on the center and then add enough weight on the rear rack that the front comes off the ground. Remove front and put car jack or stands under a fork leg then remove the rear tire. Same process for dirtbike although I use a jack-stand under it.
Get a lift. These problems go away and a lot of others get easier to deal with.I've heard of something like that.
During my experimentation phase before I settled on the scissor jack, I found out my garage floor might not be perfectly level, at one point the bike almost titled over sideways, which is why I settled on my method.
I think he means for you to get a real man’s liftYou mean a couple of bike stands? Like below
I have a lift, but there is no frame below the engine, so nothing to lift with.
