What did you do in your garage today..?

Today:
1) Rewired the VSTROM USB and power ports to run through a relay. Original owner put them thru a switch, I kept forgetting to switch the damn things off.

2) XV920R #2 got new front brake pads.

3) GL1000 got her rear signals restored to their proper place. (Anybody have an OE seat for a 75-77 GL1000? Not the queenie).

Up on the hoist for pre winter nap oil change... :-(

Cat delete the other day and new slip on.

Planning an alarm install and some other electrical fun, and hopefully, installation of new fairings!

Did you lock to a metal bar that protects a garage exhaust fan? Good condo-friendly solution.
Exactly what I did! Too afraid of all the horror stories to not find a proper place to put it. Hoping that deters anyone thinking about it. Heck, all I have to be is harder than the next bike over right?

Tonight in the garage: rip the footboards and heel-toe shifter off my '76 GL1000 -- then install the original pegs and shifter.
Did the same to my GL1100, but then I kept going and stripped about 250lbs from it. (It was my goldwing drag bike project - 12.67 seconds at 105mph. They will go if you're not afraid of the red line)

I did the same to my GL1000 when I got it. Stripped of the Vetter-chick-Getter fairings, beer box, hard bags, an the structural steel contraption that held the bag kit. Also removed the trailer hitch, got a replica standard seat (ditched the giant queen 2-up). Knocked of 150 lbs.

Not technically my garage but swapped out one yosh for another. Also did front flush mounts and rear led bulbs plus 7 pin led relay on the 2009 SV650Sa I may also swap the lock set off the 2004 parts bike. 09 has a sticky ignition switch. Someone had a heavy set of keys at one point. Damaged the groove the key slides in on. Once finished up for sale.

Finishing up the 2007 SV650S. External fire damage. Heat and hot ash. One mirror usable but nasty looking and one signal broken. Used signal off 2009 SV and Emgo mirror. Before even taking it off the trailer a solid 2 hours of washing and polishing. Charge battery started fine and looking great. Tempted to keep and turn into a factory naked but I would have to sell the DL650.

New heel plates I got on sale. Carbon fiber but with a dye and gloss finish.

Your garage project looked more fun than mine. Sunday was a reorganize and clean out day. At least it was nice and warm so I could just open the doors and use a leafblower to get rid of the dust and dirt.

I opened the door yesterday morning...and went riding . The weather has been too nice to be working in the garage .

Finally used the Morgan Carbtune I've had for ages to do a "starter valve adjustment" on the 919. Was surprisingly easy! Hardest part was driving to Princess Auto to get new vacuum plugs after the ones on the bike disintegrated upon removal
