Am tweaking my opinion on the gun seizures. If in the course of legitimate search and rescue operations guns are found unsecured in homes then it would be prudent to take and secure.
Am suspecting not all home owners will go back right away. Many unknown to the community helpers/workers will be interspersed with possibly nefarious characters. It's entirely possible unknown people will access abandoned homes. Can't watch everybody all the time.

I don't paint a news source with such a broad brush as you do. Some journalists are far more neutral than others. And with some intelligence, it isn't hard to find and discount the spin. I read and decide for myself. One could say the exact same thing for the (red) star. Some journo's there are nothing but major left spin.

While I always take a large LUMP of salt when reading anything published by QMI, this was, for a change, a well-researched relevant story on Canadian property rights and police harassment of the most law-abiding section of our society (with a dose of improper use of private data).
