We Know you Ride, But do you Shoot?

Nobody ever got shot.
Because people weren't so dumb. If I grabbed a gun and did dumb things with it, &^% would get real very quickly.

There are no real guns in my house now (no license, no need for them, my wife grew up in the city and doesn't want them, I don't have a big enough safe, etc) but even when my kids are playing with nerf guns I give them crap for flagging people without eye protection, keeping their finger on the trigger, etc..

Not being a dumbass is pretty easy if that is the path you want to follow. If you want to be a dumbass, banning thousands of pages more long guns will not impact a single handgun crime (which is almost all of them).

Unfortunately there are no consequences or repercussions for people that do dumb things with guns. Law abiding gun owners get punished instead by virtue signalling politicians that don’t know which end of a gun is up. Makes for great headlines and soundbites. We don’t have a gun problem, we have a legal system problem that can’t or won’t enforce laws we already have.

It was my father in laws , he very briefly joined the OPP in the late sixties , he carried it in the trunk of his cruiser to shoot groundhogs while on rural patrol. He was using his issued revolver but when asked why he needed a box of shells a week when he reported no incidents … he bought the twenty two. The OPP suggested he go back to the navy after about yr one . So he did . He was that guy ….
