waiting for parts sucks.

Its been a week and still waiting for a carb rebuild kit. All this awesome weather and I'm 4 wheeling. Poop. Thinking of trying elastic bands for o rings and bubble gum for gaskets.

Isnt it too hot to ride for the past few days?

I think waiting for parts now is way better than next month.

Yes it does. Short riding season exaggerates dire sense of urgency initiated by dearth of much needed parts however small they may be. It's like waiting for the pizza pie to arrive after the deliciously cold chocolate milk is all gone. When this happens I like to think of starving children in third world countries. That usually cheers me up.

I get the feeling you put baloney in the CD player growing up.

Lol , not quite. And no I don't find it too bad out there. I work outdoors so I suppose I've become used to it. Besides , its always a few degrees cooler riding.

Having to receive a wrong part after waiting for it for weeks - sucks even more.

What parts to do you need? Bike / year / model ....I have a bunch of spare carb parts around...

93 gsxr 750 my o rings and float valves are brittle as hell. Broke one with my fingernail. She's due. Hoping my rebuild woulda been here by now but nope. Ah well. Were expecting rain anyway.

I have two bikes as well for the same reason. But thankfully they have both been bullit proof. Waiting for parts sucks I agree.

OK, why not?
I've been waiting for custom built Triumph Scrambler wheels since June 2012. Every time I inquire they are just over the horizon. I finally gave up on them this spring. Late April I get e-mail: custom Talon hubs are available but supplier needs 4-6 weeks to develop spoke length. WTF? Anyway, whatever.
July 8th I'm told it's all a GO!!! 2 day turnaround!! Sweet! I place order. It's, what? July 20 today? Nothing.
Still rolling along on 40lb. steel wheels........
