Toronto Motorcycle Show Ladies Night - No Longer Free

I have only been to this show once and found it to be too far downtown and just not worth the trip. I prefer the one at the International Centre because it is much closer to me and parking is free.

International Centre has always been better even with free parking.

They are very different shows tho. Imo. I'll go to both this year.

1/2 price? This just set back equal rights by 50 years.

Considering Canada is very low on the global list for gendered pay equity (women still make only 73% of what men do with the same education, work experience, etc)., I personally welcome the 1/2 price bike show admission.

Heck, I will shave my legs for that! :P

They wanted the ladies to come in so that guys would come in ...and more guys in there more chances of money changing hands...since women are getting into this sport as well there's no longer a need to let them in for free now

It is pretty ridiculous really....paying to see what they have for sale. Like paying admission to go to a store....and the prices aren't that great.

I agree with your logic however if I feel the fee is so I'm allowed to fondle the merchandice without the salesman kicking me out...again.

They even gave females gifts last year got an awesome flashlight and keychain...they're probably not doing it this year because there are too many of us now so they can't afford to :P

I remember a show not so long ago you weren't allowed to sit on the Ducati's.
To see the new bikes available ....go to the Dec. show.
To see tons of bike stuff ...cheap sunglasses and Pakistani leather wear go to the Jan. show

All the bikes in one place, all the latest models, and some insight into tech or future products. Plus doodads that you may have never heard of, and some good deals to be found (though I wouldn't go there just to buy stuff). And then you bump into all your peeps and catch up on the goings on.

Money well spent IMO compared to say, a movie.

Last year the Ducatis had keys and batteries, I played with the intruments until the owner of GP Bikes came along and asked me to stop. Was a nice guy, ended up chatting about their track days. Don't get that at the showroom.
