Top things to do in VEGAS!

Im going to Vegas in July I think for 4 days 3 nights. I'm budgeting about $1500 for this time and even then I have my worries it may not be enough money...lol
depending on what you want to do you could do vegas cheap or if you are going balls to the wall everyday itll add up for sure.

Well be sure to post up here when you get back and let us know where all the hot spots etc are. Also how well your estimated budget held up lol.

$1000 spending money for 11 days in vegas?.. One drink at the pool bar at the venetian cost me $14, bottle service is like $500 a bottle at places like Tao..

With less than $100 a day spending cash you will have to make sure you eat and buy all your booze OFF the strip, spend a lot of time at the cheap casinos like O'shays and Casino Royale where you can drink for free while playing $5 hands and maybe win some extra spending cash.

i've been to the club in Palms... it's called Rain- best club there is...

go to the gun store and make sure you shoot the sniper rifle, i was there earlier in the year and had a blast. go to different hotels like cecear's palace or flamingo, if you stay at the hotel they have clubs downstairs on the main floor you can go in for free and no line ups

Wow.. This is so weird that this thread was at the top of the forum tonight.. I'm actually leaving for vegas on Tuesday... Getting married at Mandalay Bay. I'm there for a week.
First off .. I absolutely LOVE Vegas.. I go at least once or twice a year and are always there for business in November (SEMA).
All of the posts in this thread are extremely good and accurate...

Things were planning on doing (most with my buds before the wedding day).. Most i've done before..but some I haven't...

1. Gun Store-- shoots some stuff
2. Exotic car tour or Speedway Tour- Basically you pay $400-$500.. These guys show up to your hotel with 6 super cars- Lambo, Ferrari, Bentley, Z06, SLR, and something else (it changes). 6 people go out and you get to drive each car for half an hour and they take you on a road tour out to red rock. The speedway tour is a little better.. You go to the vegas speedway.. Have a short driving school (in class) on technique. One of the instructor then take you out on the track for 2 hot laps under instruction in a Porshe Cayenne. After that you get to choose from one of the 6 super cars listed above and you get to do 5 hot laps.. (pretty much full out by what I have heard)
3. Hoover Dam - much cooler after transformers
4. Freemont street
5. Going to see Chumlee at the Pawn Store (Pawnstars)

Tips..
1.Ride the Deuce- 3dollars 1 way, 7 dollars all day (bus that goes up and down the strip)..
2.Use the monorail- Basically runs through all the casinos on the east side of the strip.. You can buy a pass for the whole week.
3.EVERYTHING on Freemont street is cheaper... Booze, gambling, food, Souveniers, +++
4. Check out all the free shows-- Mirage Volcano, TI-show, Bellagio fountain
5. Get a players card and play at one property.. you get the most comp that way...
6. If your going to a club... Pay for Bottle service... Dudes dont' get in without chicks.. It's actually very degrading...
7. Pre-drink like crazy.. Booze at the clubs are ridiculous.. Rye and Coke at studio 54 is $15 plus tip
8. Don't bother with the strip clubs.. Honestly there a big scam down there.. $40-$50 dollar cover, $15 dollar drinks, Girls are asking for tips(its pathetic) and for us as Canadian's its a big scam cause they don't take there bottoms off down there.... They will do anything to get you to the strip clubs in vegas.. Offer free Limo to the club, rebate on Cover, blah, blah, blah.. Stay away.. You see as much in the clubs as you do at the strippers..

Oh... and clubs....
Ghost bar @ Palms
Rain @ Palms
Jet @ mirage
Tao @ Venetian
LAX or Cat house @ Luxor
Bank @ Bellagio
Pure @ Ceasars

Those are the big ones I can think off... Might see you down there.. I'm there from the 31st to the 7th... We'll be partying every night....

I'm going in august with about 25 doctors for a bachelor party and was wondering if anyone knew a place that is good for golfing that rents clubs?

Aside from the fact that this trip is going to break me since I am a dirty student going with people who like to flaunt their money, I can't see us being able to get into any clubs with that many guys. I don't spend $500 a year on booze and would cry if I had to do it in one night. Especially when I have no interest or ability to get the party girls inside.

Great thread for this rainy night in the T.Dot. Going to Vegas for 11 days - you must have deep pockets as Vegas is expen$ive. Have fun, it's an amazing place. With 4 dudes the only way you are getting into all of the great clubs (e.g. Tao, Tryst, etc.) is to get there early and talk to hot girls in the line and enter with them (bring your A Game) or to do the bottle service thing. Go hard or go home!

There is the Wynn which has it's own course, not sure on pricing check the website out, but it looks beautiful!
Cili Bali Hai Golf Club right near Mandalay Bay I think, again never been to that one check website.
And then theres Callaway Golf Center which I only played at driving range and rented clubs for that, not too expensive from what I remember. They also have a course to play on. I remember seeing a breakfast special with cart, clubs , and breakfast included but cannot recall the pricing, sorry. That ones pretty neat, had planes flying over head as you hit balls. And I am sure there are many more around the area.

If you can choose when you're going to Vegas keep in mind that if you want to be outside touring it gets really hot in the summer months. Also another tip would be to check online for major conventions going on. Stay away during high numbers as the price of everything goes up. Rent a car and check out Hoover Dam, the Gun Store is on the way as you're leaving Vegas.

I don't think that Yamaha is hosting their school in vegas while we are there. It is also like $2000+ for the school.

As of now, I am thinking of budgeting about $200 per day. We have a condo (polo towers) on the strip for the first 7 days, so we have a kitchen etc. We will most likely try and buy things like cereal etc to save a little on food.
Also we will most likely rent a car, go on a roadtrip, just walk around a night or two and see sights, etc some days so that on days we party we will most likely have more like $300+ to spend on nights we go out.

Are we underbudgeting? One of my buddies says he thinks he can get through the trip with only $1000 spending money.

How much should we budget for in vegas? on a per day value. Guestimations welcome!

$1000 if you dont want to have a good time... i spent $1500 for 5 days and i was being cheap...i blame it on the drinks!

THis ^ ..expect to drop $400+ a night on bottle service or you will NOT be getting in anywhere. Girls walk right in while guys wait FOREVER and EVER. DO NOT ask girls for advice about which clubs you can get into...completely different rules for guys. Gotta pay to play in Vegas.

Gotta pay to play in Vegas.

I would stick to off the strip for food, unless you do all you can eat buffet on the strip.
And if you wanna pre- drink for next to free then do it in the casino while you play, most give you credits for slots if you sign up for the hotels casino card so you can essentially play for 'free' just give a fake email address so you don't get bombarded with spam.

Actually .. I would give them a real email address.. Some of the best complimentary offers from the casino's come by email...Free rooms, food, etc.
Denny's on the strip is pretty good and pretty cheap....
Also.. even pre-drinking in your room is good.. Booze are pretty cheap at the corner stores too.. Also.. When your going out.. you can take travellers with you cause its totally legal to drink right on the street..

U guys must be doing something wrong regarding clubs. Our crew has never had a problem getting into clubs even with huge lineups. You guys just have to talk your way in or end up going in with a bunch of girls. Dress proper, like you belong there, walk with confidence.

Ive gone clubbing and seen guys waiting in line, partied for an hour, went to another club-stayed for another 1.5 hours and went back to the first club- got in again and the same people were still waiting in line.

I never understood that about Vegas, why do guys have this idea that the only place to pick up is in clubs??? best place to pick up girls is in the hotel casino's, out and about on the strip or in your hotel pool area. Clubs in Vegas have really bad ratio's of girls/guys, thats why there is always a huge line up, the clubs are trying to keep the ratio somewhat even or at least at 60/40 (guy/girl). No club wants the rep of being a sausage fest.
