I think you are wrong on this one Benny. Those tires are strange. At some point, with piles of rubber left on them, they just fall off a cliff and don't work anymore. I had the same experience, and others have also reported it. No doubt an R1 will fry them quicker than a lower hp bike.
I ran Q2s all season this year (9 days!) and they were worlds better. I was thinking of just mounting Q3s for next year but Dave Buckland and Paul MacIntosh sat down with me and worked me over at the end of yesterday and convinced me to go to DOTs or slicks with warmers.![]()
Buckland gave me the same speech as he did you and well he was right( don't tell him that it will goto his head. Lol). R-10's are a nice dot tire. Predictable and great grip. Warmers are just a nice security blanket for riding. No guessing in your head wether the tires are up to temp. R-10's just aren't Liter bike friendly.
