Tinted Visor Questions

What about if you have prescription glasses with "Transitions" type lenses?
Will they go dark with the dark visor or remain clear?
I currently have a dark visor and wear regular glasses but would like my next pair to be photochromic but I'd like to know first if they'd stay clear behind a dark visor.

I think transitions lenses react to UV light so if that is blocked through the tinted visor I'm not sure they will work properly.

Good to know as I don't want to have the effect of a dark visor plus the one from my dark glasses at the same time!

I think the new Transition XtraActiv would turn dark inside the helmet. Not as dark as if u wear them without anything blocking them, but still dark enough. definetely more dark than regular transtion lenses. BUT they do not turn completely clear when you are out of the sun. they do have a slight darkness to them always.

I've got 32,000km on a 2010 Ninja 250 that I purchased early Aug 2010. I put a lot of miles on my bike.

That's the same kinda Km,s I put on my bike as well, last year bout 25k. And I purchase a new visitor every year.

There are few scratched from cleaning and plenty of scratches from bugs and road grime.

I guess a visior can last a few seasons if you really take care of it, but when I'm putting in 1000km+ days, I just want to clean the bugs off and get back on the road.

Kind of off topic, but I dont think it really warrants a new thread. Can anyone recommend some online sites for visors, specifically looking for visors for my Arai XD3, visors with a pinlock. I can google, but I know nothing about any of the sites, so looking for recommendations.

Last year I bought about 3 - 4 sets of tires from PETE's, and was looking for a SUOMY SPEC 1 R visior...they were about $75+ shipped online. Pete shipped it with my tires for free and charged me only $65 CAD.

You should try GLEN @ FS...he is a great guy. and great prices!!

Or you can always use clearlycontacts.ca....cheapest rx sunglasses I've ever bought...same for transition type lenses (which won't darken if the visor has UV protection as they need it to react)
