I don't think its the actual rain that puts dirt on your bike ... maybe what gets splashed
Up that's the nasty stuff

If you park along front street and there's a light rain, the bike looks terrible. You get a thin (or sometimes thick!) coat of dust from the construction. If the rain isn't hard enough to wash it all off, it looks filthy. To top it off, if the road is still damp, that's when you throw all the other crap up.

I worked 6-230 and at 5am the weather was good but I was racing against time and rain on way home lol. Beat the rain by 30 min

Rain or Shine.....I'm riding.

This is the attitude you all need to get on if you committed on getting on two wheels bunch of wusses.

Anyone else leave on their bike this morning, seeing that they weren't calling for rain until over night, and now gonna get soaked?

It never ceases to amaze me how they call for rain and it doesn't, and they don't call for rain and it does.

Bastards.

I know eh? If they did anything else for a living they would be fired. They must have advertisements "Suck at your job? Don't worry, be a meteorologist! Where there is always a chance of anything!"

How you think i felt when it started to rain half way to Niagara and back... 4 hrs of soaking... Luckily at least i had a rain jacket.

Turns out my Velocity rain suit must not like life in the bottom of my top box. It leaked far more than I remember yesterday. Time to read some rainsuit threads..

You may want to give up on breathable and go with poly prop. I have the iCon and it does work.

$100 or so
3 seasons rattling in the top case and as long as I seal it - it's completely dry. Great for cooler weather as well over the mesh jacket.

I KNOW!!!

Un-freaking believable... They can't even cover an 8-hour day anymore.

I've been getting by, mostly unscathed by checking the weather report and studying 2-3 different radar maps everyday before work, but this year I've been caught riding wet more than a few times (once was the MEGA storm!)...

Now I gotta start riding with a rain suit, over-gloves and get some way of transporting all that gear with me everyday... panniers? I guess I'll wear gore-tex boots all the time, too... ugh. All-in that's like $1000. Bollocks.

I always have the rain suit in a tiny backpack with me, can't even tell it's there...
The rest of the cr@p I carry with me goes in the tank bag...

Ya i know what you mean all the dirt picked up from the wet roads and dust and then the WATER SPOTS when it all drys. :(

Either way my baby is due for a wash! lol
