Seems like a really good price; almost too good. I must be missing something.

I would also check the title. That looks like rattlecan paint job. Stolen/written off maybe?
If a dealer - even a sketchy looking lot like that - sells a stolen vehicle, does the buyer have more recourse than the usual caveat emptor?
I am thinking stolen and then recovered. Insurance writes it off. Sketchy lot buys it at auction and tries to sell it.
Could be a repo, could be a stolen recovery, could be an insurance write-off, could be a write-off with structural damage like bent forks or damaged frame or it could actually be a good deal.
I've seen lightly used V7's selling for near that amount so it's not impossible.

If this is the case, the bike will become branded, in which case it cannot ever be plated in Ontario. I don't think a used car lot would be selling branded vehicles.

There's a difference between write-offs.
Financial loss: Fixing exceeds the value
Total loss: frame is branded as salvage

In the case of a motorcycle, I don't think so. If it's declared a write off, it will be branded "irreparable" and cannot ever be plated in Ontario.
In Ontario, cars can be branded "salvage" or "rebuilt", but motorcycles can only be branded "irreparable".

Stolen bikes, written off, then recovered, can be sold by the insurance company with no brand. The same goes for written off crashed bikes with no frame damage.

Pretty sure I did a nine part series involving a Moto Guzzi V7 that was a theft recovery bought from that exact dealership.......

Summary: It took a village to make it (mostly) okay again.
Carlo at Moto Motori diagnosing something issues, throwing a spare part in there that only Carlo would have tucked away, resetting the TPS, etc.
Studio Cycle coming through with a used but still good fender and a bunch of OEM parts that no one else has probably ordered since lol
Moto-K in Greece coming through with a fresh seat cover to bring life back to the old chewed up seat.
Yours truly putting in a lot of elbow grease trying to make this thing great again.
Loved the bike until I found an a low mileage Harley Iron 1200 for $4000 and I sold it because I didn't need two tractors.
Buy it if you have way more time, money, and know-how than me, or if you have a YouTube channel so people will want to be part of the project and you get free stuff LOL.
