It's not speeding, it's "Spirited Riding".
I didn't immediately accelerate because I suddenly realized there was a car in my lane, that shouldn't have been there, and had no idea what he might do. I moved over because the right-most lane ends and even the lane I was moving into exits to the collectors on the 427. Frequently cars rip up the right hand side and force their way in, It's hard enough to watch for the traffic to the left, without also having to worry about the traffic on the right. I didn't wait until he passed because he wasn't passing the bus, until he saw my signal. Watch his speed.
I wasn't there, I can only base my opinion on what I see. Also, I'm not familiar with the area so I don't know what happens outside of the scope of the video.
I'm not trying to argue, I'm just calling it as I see it. And I see a vehicle travelling at a steady pace while passing a bus, right up until they were were forced to either brake or speed up to move in front of the bus.
Damn, you cut that guy off hard core. If he had a cam that video could easily be posted here.

That moment you realize that the person could have taken out a ton of riders/pedestrians if they hadn't hit a car instead.
You bet, because damn near certain the owner would then sue the officer for damages to his vehicle.

Probably could "convince" most drivers to give permission to push the car instead of receiving a ticket for blocking an intersection (which on a side note, is actually a municipal bylaw isn't it?)

I realized those days were long gone when I was 18. Rush hour traffic at Dufferin & Steeles @ 5:30pm, car gets rear ended at full speed by an SUV (BMW X5 - no attempt to brake) while the old mazda protege stopped at a red light. Kid screaming and crying in the back seat bleeding from his face from the small glass shards, bus stop with 15+ people standing about 20 feet away. I pull over to help (as it happened right beside me), no one else moved from the bus stop, no one pulled over to help (not even the rear-ender which was too busy picking up the pieces of his car and swearing at himself).
I was on my way to work at the time and everyone else was too busy to do anything about it.
The speed at which Fire, ambulance, and police got there and set up a roadblock was remarkable. Within 3 mins of placing the call, they were all there.
TDLR; If people are too busy with their lives to help someone that could potentially be seriously injured, what are the chances someone is going to help a stranger with a broken down car?
