Assuming I take the M1 training/exit at a certified institution (AKA, one of the college options) does anyone have any recent experience clarifying if they issue the related T forms for tax purposes?
I found an old archived thread here from years ago suggesting that some people who took their courses at a college received such, and accordingly, was able to claim an education credit. Yes, there was some debate on the legitimacy of such but it seems the consensus (and experience, including one person who was questioned by the CRA, provided the receipt, and had it allowed) was that if you had the actual T form (I forget the actual form number) you'd be able to legally deduct it as an education amount.
Anyone have any recent experience? It would have to be someone that did their course at a college or recognized institution in 2014 or before. Obviously private or non recognized institutions wouldn't be providing a tax slip, but there was mixed reports on if recognized institutions now did or didn't currently.
