Guys is not even mid May and we already seen mad accidents out there, back off a bit and take it easy on the wheels... is not a race IMO.

anywho, safe riding everyone

Everyone please listen. We are not out there trying to win a race and ride like everyone else is going to kill you.

public service announcements :rolleyes:

Ride your own ride.

was OP referring to a specific accident?

Half a dozen motorcycle related deaths this long weekend.

Another motorcyclist just died today while going on ramp (off or on.. forgot which) by hitting a sign...

Saw a highway sign in Tennessee yesterday, "40 motorcycle deaths, don't be next" or something along those lines. Not a bad idea

I've only been a member of the forum since Fall 2011 so not sure how this year compares to last...but it does seem like we have a lot of injuries/deaths very early in the season. Is this typical each season?

Ride safe everyone.

Generally, yes it's typical. Lots of people out..rusty skillz..new riders..dirty roads.. Motorcycles are dangerous..the margin for error is small and the probable results of a crash, unlike in a car, are not good. Be safe.

The weather has been most favorable this year. No much of a winter, mild temps. When the bug bites, it prompts a lot of riders to get out there. I can't remember the last May 24 with weather that was like July 1st? Lot's of folks out there.

We should always be mindful to be safe and not take things for granted. But, always have fun too!!!!!

I'll have to disagree with the rusty skills and new riders comment, but the second part of what you said is true. Motorcycles are dangerous and bad things can happen quickly.

I'd say it's typical...it's more like a transition time of the year when riders start riding again and drivers are driving more aggressively due to warmer weather..
