588cc parallel twin, turbo. 100hp, 174kg, 50% less fuel use than typical 600s. May be the next SV650.

When you consider 660cc turbo 4 cyl snowmobiles are making 140 hp, it's totally feasible. And now that turbo technology has eliminated turbo lag, I am looking forward to 400 and 600 cc turbo bikes

I still see the "is the motorcycle turbocharged" tick box on most insurance quote forms.

They seem to be pushing the turbo for fuel efficiency, which is still fine by me. I once rode a 80s XN850 Suzuki, it had a ridiculous passing acceleration from 80-100km/hr, you could hit 160 without even realizing it.

That just ticks off all the right boxes (for me)

Nice lines
Ample Power
Single Sided swing arm
non-hideous factory exhaust.

I hope they build it, and if they do, I hope it looks similar to this picture. I'd gladly buy new, this one.

K so what's so great about this bike, except fuel efficiency? I guess it's torquey? So is a 1000CC, and it's simpler. Turbos, always come with some head aches. Especially small ones. Really don't get boosted bikes.

One more thing to go wrong. WhenI was shopping for my car, seems like a lot of things were turbocharged. No thank you

Turbo plumbing meh they should use small gear driven Roots type supercharger that doubles as a balancer shaft. I guess an email to Japan is in order.

Turbine oil except for winter storage use sunflower oil and dump it in the spring.

I do a mid winter change too, because you can never be too sure. After all your bike costs thousands compare to an oil change

The 80s turbos were very reliable, and that was before ceramic bearings and sophisticated fuel injection.
By this logic, we should all ride thumpers.

It's true. Any turbocharged vehicle today is equipped with a turbocharger that will last just as long as any other component on the vehicle.
My 80's turbocharged Dodge 2.2 had over 300K kms on a stock old school Garrett turbo, and I was running more than twice the stock boost level. Regular oil changes with synthetic oil.

It's lighter and more fuel efficient. Factory turbos, designed by engineers , are completely reliable, most of Europe drives small turbo diesels.

Some redneck putting 30 lbs of boost on a 1989 Honda civic, yes, there will be problems.

It's a concept, no mirrors or turn signals, single seat. The exhaust can tuck up under the engine because the turbo baffles noise well.
Not sure what that thing is between the rear fender and the seat.

Superchargers don't make sense on lightweight vehicles. Yes, by all means, send that email to Japan, not like they have any experience with innovative, powerful and relaible motorcycle engines.

I can't name 1 Japanese Motorcycle manufacture.
