Summer Solstice 2025

I'm tied up that weekend (including Friday) but if it ends up being earlier in the week count me in.

Hwy 60 is currently getting dug up just west of Barrys Bay. Only a km or so now but is slated to be a 16km stretch replaced in total so it'll be a mess for while. Might want to check progress closer to the date.

Just rode it on Wednesday. Quite a bit of gravel stretch. If I weren’t on the adventure bike, I would have been rather frustrated.

Temptation is high.

I mean I did do a big ride with the naked bike a few years ago.
Did the Solstice Ride with my CB500F and CB500X, and an 1100km ride with the Ducati Scrambler which is similar to your Triumph in ergos...

Not awesome but totally doable.

ive done 1k in a day on the 500x and I've done one fall ride with the Trident but i think it was closer to 800km

Well if I don't sell the Scrambler, or sell and get another one, let's go for a ride. You're like 5min from me and I'm 5min from Shane in the other direction.

Should be able to find at least 1 Saturday / Sunday for a quick jaunt.

My heart and sole says yes, my ass says no ******* way.
At least the roads are windy enough on a route like this that we are moving around on our seats and changing body positions a fair bit. Even still, but the end of the day - we're gonna be pretty wiped.

Thomas Cavanagh Construction Company Limited is scheduled to begin rehabilitation work on County Road 511 (Highway 511) from 3 km north of Tatlock Road northerly for a distance of 3.4 km from May 5 to early August.

This work will begin with drainage improvements, including culvert replacements and rock breaking, followed by pulverizing, adding granular material and paving with warm-mix asphalt. Single lane closures and speed reductions will be in place to facilitate safe construction work.

Starts just past Agora Honey.
