Same old same old. None of the on line quote software I've tried so far has listings for some of the motorcycles I'm interested in. I had the wife make some calls this morning and she got the standard, "Sorry, that motorcycle isn't in our system" answer on several of them.
You'd think since MV's have been for sale here in Canada for over a year now that the insurance companies would have some information. They should able to tell ya what it's gonna cost to insure, even if just a ball park figure based on the 2011's or similar models from other makers, eh? But no, this person transfers you to that person who puts you on hold for someone else who asks for details you don't have. Like, I can't give you a VIN number. My husband hasn't bought a motorcycle yet.
So, in the end after wasting nearly a half hour with one company she hung up frustrated, angry and with no clear answers. But you know we are all very important to them. Or so the recorded message kept saying to the wife while she was on hold.
Oh, and we learned something new. When she was talking with TD General the girl asked if we were selling or trading in any of our present motorcycles. The wife asked why? The answer was that TD General limits the total number of Motorcycles a household may insure to four. Wha da fa...?????
So who has numbers on the new MV F3? Clear record, no tickets, no claims, 58 years young and living with the same wife for 38 years on the banks of the Trent river way far away from the GTA.
