Site performance is quite poor today

My guess is server and vendor config issues.

Server Robots.txt should only let in known good bots. Won’t stop maverick bots, but can help.

Zenforo Search should be disabled for all but regular members and higher.

Archive messages over 5 years old.

Enable Cloudfare free version, setup rules to limit bot traffic.

That’s a few hours of work that should change the site into a screamer.
 
Just please don't use Captcha where it asks you to select the parts of the pic that contains a motorcycle. Apparently I don't know what a motorcycle is because I've never passed the test. I've tried including the squares with the rider, the ones with a sliver of a tire, license plate, etc., but always fail and move on to identifying fire hydrants, cars or buses. I've also failed on traffic lights. And unluckily for me on Rogers XFinity, all those sites think my IP is a bot source so I have to confirm I'm human all the time.

Like a few chitheads spoiling it for everyone else.

Also, I'm sure all sites are dealing with these kinds of issues, I hate to say it but this site is the only one with regularly noticeable slowdowns.
