I had a broken hand about 1.5 years ago and it sucked. Not the pain but the inconvenience. Luckily it was my left hand. I am right handed.

From the pic that bike looks repairable. It's a modular frame so that front member can be replaced, and the forks don't look that damaged. I understand that if the frame is damaged it's an automatic write-off, but that's just a waste. Can't even buy it back and license it because of the salvage laws. Bummer. Good thing you came through it okay though. This summer the left-turners (pullouts) have been bad for me, lots of them looking to leap without looking. Been slowing down a lot just to avoid disaster.
This crazy used market has done me well. $9000 payout for a 2012 monster 796.
