These are the best looking wheels IMHO I have ever seen...however, their weight seems to be much heavier compared to BST.
 
I can't speak for these wheels, but I can for the bst's, having discussed them with Brock Davidson in his shop this week. Bst's are rated to 300hp. After that, the hub will rip right of the spokes on a hard drag race launch. Bottom line, unless your running a heavily built drag bike, they are safe and warranted. There might be ten guys in Ontario that couldn't safely run BSTs. This is backed up by two guys that in know that have had issues. Both were running turbo busas and had no problem until they turned the boost up and were putting big power down at the wheel.
 
BST wheels are TUV approved. This is the German equivalent of CSA or US DOT. These wheels have been on the market for years. I have never heard of one failing where a standard aluminum wheel would not have failed. i.e. hitting a curb while making an off-road excursion.

Carbon wheels were banned from FIM-sanctioned racing many, many years ago when the spokes of a prototype wheel on a factory Honda GP bike shattered. These were a totally different design than what BST uses. As someone else has mentioned, the reason you don't see them in F1 is they are not-infrequently in contact with curbs and other wheels.

Just the clear resin should seal it 100%... but they're kinda fugly.

i worked at multimatic for a couple of years. if carbon wheel are treated with care there should be no problems...the problems is rider abuse...
we built a rear dif for the ford mustangs...we put it on the track and had no problems with the dif. but what let go was the glue that we used to put on the wheel hardware. once the brakes got hot the glue got soft. the projet got scapt.
 
If one will be using these on-track keep in mind that, due to the increased volume of air in the wheel, the cold-to-hot pressure fluctuation will very likely be greater with these than with either standard aluminum or BST wheels.
 
It's nice to see some competition for BST, especially considering the price.
Unfortunetely they are heavier and fugly.
