Conflicting information from the star.

A 35-year-old motorcyclist is dead after a striking a car and a pole Friday.

The motorcyclist was northbound on Jane St., near St. Clair Ave. W., just before 3 p.m. when he struck the car in front of him, Traffic Services Staff Sgt. Brain Bowman said.

Police said the motorcyclist was travelling faster than other vehicles on the road.

The car and the motorcycle were propelled off the road and the motorcyclist struck a pole, police said. He died at the scene from head injuries.

The driver of the car was not injured.

Bowman said incidents similar to this one are the reason police launched a nationwide traffic safety and enforcement campaign Friday to target what he calls “aggressive drivers” throughout the Thanksgiving weekend.

Did he strike the back of the car because the car cut him off by chance?

I would tend to go with Brian Bowman's description of events,as Brian is a fellow rider that is very experienced in the assessment of motorcycle collisions.

680 reported this a little later as well, they said the vehicle changed lanes right in front of the rider :( Soooo many this year...

R.I.P rider =(

Ugh, I always go through there. Been cut off too many times to count around that area.

I got stuck in this traffic jam shortly after the rider was hit going south on Jane, it was closed down in both directions. I had decided to take the car down town this day. Too close for comfort. RIP rider.
