I've used a rattle gun for decades. Did you use air or electric? If using air, 1/2" hose and type V fittings give it tons more power and speed. In this house, I put in a 3/4" reel with a regulator at the end and use a short 1/2" stinger.

When I got this house was the first time I did it inside. That was a huge improvement. Until then was in the snow and wind in the driveway. At some point, I will put in a two-post and that will be the final improvement.
