Oiling chain with only a side stand-hack

for those with only a side stand and need another “stick “ to make the job easier.

Funny all those times it was laying on it's side I never thought to lube the chain.....

Great if you already have one sturdy enough that won't collapse while you're shaking the bike cleaning/lubing the chain. The one linked is USD$25 on Amazon.com, or $50 on .ca. At that point you can get a wheel roller for $25 that's less risky.

Get another one for the other side.......or, use one or two pieces of 1"X2", cut 13 inches long.

This is essentially how a snapjack works. There's also clones or similar products available. I've used them in place of rear stands. They are sturdy enough.
