Hey everyone, I'm new to this site & back into riding after a 10-year break. I'm originally from the East coast and am now living in Oshawa. I had bikes as a young pup while in university and gave them up for a while for the whole work/house/kids experience and now that my kids are at a more independent age, I picked up a bike and am really happy to return to motorcycling. Always interested in making new friends and group rides. Hope to see some of you out on the road. -Dan

Welcome to gtam Dan.I like your taste in bikes.

Hey guys, thanks. Starship, thanks for the ride on Sunday. I previously owned a Kawasaki & a Suzuki but always had a thing for the Ducatis. I began shopping around this spring and came across the one I have now. It's definitely an interesting bike to ride and I love the sound. Hopefully we'll be able to ride again sometime. See you out there!

Great riding with you on Sunday, and great looking bike! I am always up for new peeps to ride with so if your ever interested, send me a msg or a PM and we can hook up again!

I came back after a long hiatus as well, even longer than yours. I wanted a Ducati as well (Multistrada) but it was too tall for me, so I had to settle for a german brand...Welcome back and safe riding.

Welcome back...

How far east are we talking, Cape Spear East or Peggy's Cove East?

How far east are we talking, Cape Spear East or Peggy's Cove East?
We're talking Halifax. Dartmouth to be exact but no one seems to know where that is so we'll say Halifax. I lived there until 2001 when my wife & I moved to Ontario. We still make the tip back to see family once per year. My brother in law planted the seed of me trailering my bike next summer to ride with him & I have to admit it's an interesting proposal. Of course I could simply drive it back but I fear I'm a bit too fragile for that (I know, I know … big wuss). There are a lot of fun roads out there with scenic views and lots of curves. We'll have to see for next summer!

I was curious as I am from a little further east, closer to Cape Spear and the funny thing is I moved to whitby in 2001. I spent a summer in Halifax back in 1990, my sister went to university there, SMU, spent many days walking the historic properities down by the harbour and citidal hill.

Hey guys (I think, gals if any replied), thanks for all of the kind words. Hopefully we'll cross paths some time in the future.
