New to motorcycle ownership, looking for a good repair shops/mechaics.

I have a motorcycle that wont start and need to take it to a shop, only one problem; I don't know where to go. This might seem like a silly problem to some, however, I've never owned a motorcycle before and don't know where to go. A Google search for motorcycle mechanics in my area turns up nothing solid.

I live just at the border of Mississauga and Etobicoke, if you have a place near there that you can recommend, I'd love to hear about it.

I live right in that area too, Z1 cycletech and Riders Choice are both good options.

of course those are good options if your looking to pay out the bum $$$$ and they are good for performance wise, but to just get your bike up and running check out

My tip is buy the maintenance manual once you are running. Not the owners manual-the proper shop manual. Then start to wrench. It'll save you loads in the end.

Did you bother reading his first post? Snow city is in Scarborough and he is in Mississauga. You must be getting paid by them to blindly advertise lmao

Riders Choice is just down the street from me, I'll be paying them a visit. I will also give Adrian from Ace Moto Tech a call as well, shopping around never hurt anyone.

I am going right by that area tomorrow at about 5:30 pm. I could have a look at it and maybe get her started for you.
Shoot me an email.

I am not in Mississauga but pick up and delivery is free in GTA. BTW yes Craig (very good wrench) went to Snow City about a month ago.

Not only that, he talks down the private shops and suggests a dealer as if he'll save money there instead...

Please do not recommend snow city to anyone, that place is the worse. They simply do not give a crap and are over priced.

-Take forever
- Do not respond to emails or calls
- Do not do the job properly
- They charge for stuff they don't do.

This are all my personal experiences on my personal bikes and close friends.

I don't think the OP cares. I offered to go to his house and look at it. and no response.

What EV.

That is funny, same thing has happened to me, I PM telling them I can go out of my way and help and don't get a response, then when I make a sarcastic remark about it, they PM back saying "Relax" what's the big deal!

That is why i do not offer help anymore, people are self centered pricks mostly

LOL, so true! Some local guy put up a big long winded ride report. He had a major get off and had to ship the bike back home for repairs. He had no shop space. I replied on his thread that I really enjoyed the report(which I did) and offered the use of my shop in future should a situation arrive. No response. Maybe he thinks I'm a kijiji type or w/e. I'm not wounded, just curious an ardent tent spacer wouldn't file that away for future needs:confused:
