Need safety inspection pass asap!

Um. use the search tab at the top of the page.
Search Rosey Toes.

Welcome to the board.
You can go past the 10 days, nobody will notice.

You have 10 days to transfer the ownership, you can get a safety done anytime after that, then upgrade your ownership to "FIT" status and have it plated.
I just went through the same process. Bought my bike from a fellow in Kitchener and got a travel permit from MTO. That permit was good for 10 days so that I could legally drive it to the shop for a safety. Once the safety was done I went back to MTO with the forms and they gave me a new ownership and sticker for my plate. In all pretty painless, and I didn't have to get someone to come to my house to safety it or trailer it somewhere either.

I'm not going to condone this or say that I've done it () but it's real easy to slap someone else's plate on your bike and ride it to your nearest shop :)

glad to know i don't have to rush the safety. I already got a plate with a temporary sticker on it, but since i'm a new rider i'm not very comfortable riding it to the shop given the riding conditions. Also just found out the rear brake light isn't working, so i'm gonna work on that over the holidays.

I don't think Rosey Toes is open for now. I've been calling him for a week now and no answer.

Thanks for the ad. Haven't been able to get a hold of rosey toes in two weeks. I would consider using my work truck to transport it, but its a beast of a bike.

What beast is it exactly?

There's a lot of recent posts saying that people are unable to get a hold of Ted.. any word as to if he's still in this or not? Any alternatives anyone could recommend?

Canadian Tire is open 7 days a week. They do motorcycle inspections as they are the authorised spot for RIV inspections. That is where I had mine done... booked one afternoon, done the next morning.

Not every one will. I went to two that wouldn't do motorcycles.

Its a Suzuki GS850G. Ted doesn't do house calls anymore and that kijiji guy wanted 180 to come downtown to do the inspection. I just want it done to get it out of the way, wouldn't wanna have another 25 degree week in March with a bike I can't ride!
