Toronto, ON –With the success of The Motorcycle Shows seven city 2013 show series behind us, Power Sport Services (PSS) is now focused on the 2014 show season. Bob Ramsay, President of Power Sport Services (PSS) is pleased to announce that Ontario’s biggest motorcycle manufacturers’ show “The Motorcycle Show – Toronto” is moving both the location and date of its next Toronto show to the Direct Energy Centre throughout the weekend of February 21 to February 23, 2014.

“One of the Toronto Show’s trademarks has been its ability to attract an impressive display of new motorcycles, scooters and ATVs each year at the show, commented Ramsay, who added that PSS believes moving the motorcycle show to the Direct Energy Centre is the appropriate next step in building on the future of the Toronto show.”

The Motorcycle Shows national cross-Canada seven city tour features hundreds of new motorcycles, a wide-range of exciting exhibits and features, all under one roof. PSS is always looking for imaginative ways to provide more value for consumers and exhibitors of the shows and we believe the change in location and date are the perfect combination in our plans to expand and build on existing elements at the Toronto Show.

Partnering with the Direct Energy Center, located in downtown Toronto, at Exhibition Place, will give PSS that flexibility. Direct Energy Center is owned and managed by the City of Toronto and is Canada’s largest exhibition and convention facility with over I million square feet of exhibit space.

Direct Energy Centre is easily accessible to both exhibitors and visitors. It is accessible by local transit streetcars and commuter trains which provide links to the entire Greater Toronto Metropolitan area as well as over 7,000 parking spaces across the Exhibition Place site, including 1, 300 parking spaces in the Direct Energy Centre indoor parking garage.

The Motorcycle Shows boasts an impressive line-up of manufacturers, including Arctic Cat, BMW Motorrad, Can-Am/BRP, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, Piaggio, Polaris, Suzuki, Triumph, Victory and Yamaha.

This is good news. Easier to navigate for out of towner:thumbup:

I'm a little confused -- They moved the Toronto Motorcycle Show from the convention centre to the Direct Energy Centre, or they moved the Supershow from the International Centre to the Direct Energy Centre? I'm guessing it's the former, which was already not that bad to get to (although the Supershow does have free parking).

It's the December manufacturers' show, moving to February at the Direct Energy Centre.

I won't be going.

This is a textbook definition of a lateral move. What appears to be progress is in reality nothing more than a location change. If memory serves me, wasn't the first Toronto Motorcycle show held at the Direct Energy Centre? I absolutely remember going to see motorcycles there, and I'm not talking about the National show at the Automotive or Queen Elizabeth building.

Kawasaki you say? Where the hell were they this year? Not enough room so they get the boot?

I believe Kawasaki opted out because of some sort of feud. Not 100% sure about this, but the news was something along those lines. They were at the Supershow in January.

This move should mean more and better parking. Excellent!

Still no free parking etc. no thanks move it to the international centre and make it cheaper and maybe.

The first one of this round, since the split from Bar? No, it was held in the front end of the Convention Centre.

RetroGrouch is right. The " MMIC - Toronto Motorcycle Show" was held in December for the first time after the split from the January International show about 10 years ago and they occupied just one hall and an adjacent entrance on the west side of the Direct Energy Centre. The rest of the Centre (a number of halls) was occupied by the "One of a Kind" show.
The next year the MMIC show was in the North Building (Front Street), on several levels, of the Convention Centre. It has been in the South Building since then.

I must have skipped the first year then, because I don't remember ever making that trip. Probably because it was that trip.

Dummies. First they create two shows because the manufacturers want to show their products before Christmas. Bar wanted to remain in January. Now they want Feb when all the dealers will already have the new models at the Jan show (the ONLY good thing about their show in the first place). Really? So the manufacturers will unveil the new models a month and a half after the dealers have them at the Jan show. Wow no wonder the motorcycle industry is such a mess. Can tell you now that SOAR will be at the Jan show an will be sitting out the Feb show. Once again......Dummies! Only kinda good thing is getting out of the convention centre which is a PITA to set up and tear down.

So we're looking at $12 for parking and $15 to get in? Not me!
The convention centre was on the subway line so easy to get to. This will be a pain in the genitals.

Read the parking charges again. They go up for "peak times."

Isn't this the Show that charges $20 to get in? And then cut the Ladies Night (She-Rides) from - free after 5pm, to Half price after 5pm.....

Only reason I went to the last Toronto Show (2012) was to sit on the various 600s back-to-back, and to see the new CBR600RR in person. Given the costs I likely won't go to the one next year, unless something big is being revealed (which will likely mean it was already at the Supershow lol).

Big flop, they should move it to the international centre or make the entrance fees lower. Paying for parking/ entrance its not worth it. I will continue going to the January show at international centre.
