M license route in Orillia

A friend is going for her m license in orilla ( she lives in barrie) and would like to know what route the ministry uses for the test so she can do a trial run. thanks

My brother spoke with a girl who just finished the test last year - cannot recall the exact route - but if you are familiar with Orillia, it really shouldnt be an issue. I will be taking my M test in Orillia. (took my G test there years and years ago)
If you cannot find out the exact route - just ride around Orillia getting familiar with the streets. Its a great little town. Never too much traffic. I've grown up going into Orillia - family and friends have cottages near by.

i know they change the route from test to test in barrie. I did mine on a tuesday and another member here did his on the friday after and the route was different.

I'd focus more on the things that you'll be tested on instead of the route. This way they can change it any which way and you'll be prepared.

Yeah that's right, does this girl plans on riding just one route her entire life? No she won't, she will be all over the place, so this should be a good test to see if she can handle riding on improvised roads.

Been about 4 years since I rode my M test, but this is as I recall it. (See attached pic.)

You start at the Drive Test facility and head down Laclie towards downtown. At somepoint you ended up on Matchedash St. and on the far side of Colborne St. An "emergency pull-over" was requested infront of the Orillia OPP detachment on Peter St. Then go onto Coldwater, heading west. Jump onto highway 11 heading North bound. Get off at the West St. Exit, and cross the overpass. Jump on Hwy 11 southbound and get off at Coldwater exit. Head back into town. At Coldwater & Westmount / Fittons, turn left onto Fittons and follow Fittons all the way back through to Laclie. Your back at the Drive Test center.

No gaurentees but that is roughly what the route was. Watch out, they are sticklers for making turns if there is pedestrians on the cross-walk still. Even if the pedestrian is almost at the opposite curb and walking away from you, its a fail and they have and will use it against you.
