Yup, a friend posted it believing it was real. I immediately went looking for anything in the news and confirmed it was staged.

She a judge in that video.. a parking control cop in another.
Their channel appears to loosely reenact, and exaggerate, real incidents..

cops pull over Florida state attorney for tags and tint... nothing happened but mad the news.

This channel posts real bodycam videos....

hate when people do that. I am sure in their head they are thinking they are doing something good, bringing to lite something bad to light, but this serves no purpose other then making people angrier. There are enough dumb people to believe it as well. Looks like something high school kids would put together for a project about racism and how bad it is.
On the other hand I have seen several actual bodycam videos of (white) judges and sheriffs being pulled over for various things, typically impaired operation, and then going nuts on the officers who had the gall to do it.

I don't mind when a channel does reenactments, as long as they make it obvious that's what it is, because you can then watch it with a more critical mindset. Presenting something as if it's factual and actual video, when it isn't, makes me immediately block a channel.

On that front, re-enactments (or pure fiction) should really be watermarked. Even if the original creator includes a blurb at the beginning, often small clips get used out of context. Watermark ensures your re-enactment isn't used as rage bait (and gives you credit for your work).

I have seen those as well, and those are very different because they are real. This video is fiction. Like the Smollet case, he crafted a fictional hate crime and had people up in arms for a while at an already divisive time, adding more fuel to the fire. Not sure what the point is if they are just making a video and they are obviously trying to make it look real.

Which, in turn, makes others doubt when actual hate crimes are reported by victims. It helps no one.

The problem is exacerbated with visible minorities because they stand out. If an Anglo makes a scene they blend into the crowd. If an ***ian makes a scene it stands out and the thought becomes "There's another one of those ***ians playing the race game."

Knowing several actual people named Karen, I resent the lable suggesting they are all SCBs, self centred b******, but there is no shortage of white SCBs. Paint them a different colour and they taint the other ***ians that are just normal easy going people.

Here's a prime example:

Except for one thing. The woman who reported the 'attempted kidnapping' has a bit of a history:

Police put the heat on some carjackers. One bright spark jumped off the gardiner and messed up his legs. Good. F that guy. Hard to conduct car jackings when you're in traction.
