Can anyone confirm the shooting at the airport?
News says siu involved for police involved shooting at t1 departure. Use t1 arrival to access terminal.

Edit:
Outside the terminal near pillars 14-15.

Looks like a trackhawk with dark tint (maybe even including windshield). It's not hard to identify vehicles with better than usual odds of containing weapons. Tarp covering someone on ground but suspect was "pronounced on way to hospital".

That kid was an idiot.
If there were six people in the car it's a reason for a traffic stop because probably someone wasn't wearing a seatbelt. There could have been other reasons.

If that qualified for a vehicle search the gun would have been found and charges seriously upped. A juvenile would get off lighter than an adult.

A waste of life.

It would be interesting to know who just wasted >$1M? World junior hockey trial ends in mistrial during the second day of an eight week trial. A cop was on the stand at the time.

EDIT:
Cost may not be as bad as I expected. They are selecting a new jury starting today. I thought this would get bumped out until they could get another eight week slot.

Apparently something happened during the lunch break that triggered the mistrial. Further information can't be released until after the jury is sequestered.

I think there's a publication ban in place... so might have to wait until the trial is over.

WARNING.. The videos below are graphic. They include injured and dead people.. and the suspect being detained by the crowd and security.

I will never understand this cell phone video thing. Why?
Those running around screaming and taking video need a punch in the head. Maybe images of morons trying to profit from tragedy should be spread like the brantford boomer to get the societal backlash they deserve. Huge respect to those that did what they could to help.

OK, that cop is wrong for making assumptions that the rider would run, before even contacting him.

With that said, I'm tired of people who have "runner plates" (my term). The place where the plate is mounted, from the factory, is the only position that you can be sure is legal. That plate position is illegal. It's obscured and not horizontal to the ground. I was struggling to find the plate as well.

Wanna mess with the police...

When they try to pull you over... Pull over.

I've only been stopped 4 times in my life on a bike.
I swear the first time the guy walks up and the first thing outta his mouth was "why'd you stop.?"
The best one was getting stopped in Alberta doing 157 in an 80 or 90 zone...
I pulled over... I don't think the rcmp guy knew what to do next...LOL.

I had a similar experience with OPP, north of Lindsay. He said, "Thanks for stopping. I didn't think that you would." Got a warning, only, for a truly ridiculous speed.

I think they kinda get disarmed a bit when they realize the guy they've stopped turns out to be some old fart and not some youngster hoodlum..

It could also be mannerisms. I got in a collision a few years ago. Hit a truck from behind. During the discussion about fault (all mine, I freely admitted), he asked me if I was in the military*. My speech patterns and saying "Yes, Sir. No, Sir" must have given him that impression. Again, no ticket. (The truck didn't have a scratch, but my car was a write-off.)

* I was an Air Cadet, two-thirds of a lifetime ago, but that's it.
