KW to Ottawa May Long Weekend

Hey guys,

Looking to tour from KW to Ottawa May long weekend.. Thinking of heading north through Algonquin Park, looking for advice on routes. We would like to get off the beaten path on some good sweepers and twisty's and see the great outdoors. Any advice on roads/routes would be much appreciated. We have a time line of 4 days and are open to suggestions.

118 east from Gravenhurst to Carnarvon, then 35 north to 60, and 60 east through algonquin is one of my favourite routes out that way.
 
Yep, Southwood is a ton of fun, but beware of changing surfaces, particularly early in the season. Watch out for loose sand and gravel.
 
Excellent idea - just realize Algonquin will be slow if it's a nice day. It will be cold early as well so layer up.

The Ottawa Valley has very nice riding area as is the region in Quebec across from it. Some ideas here
