A motorcycle driver was thrown into an SUV windshield in a collision Friday evening.
The 31-year-old Kitchener man was rushed to Grand River Hospital, and later airlifted to Hamilton General Hospital with critical injuries.
The accident happened around 5:40 p.m. at Ebycrest Road and Bridge Street in Woolwich.
The motorcycle was travelling eastbound on Ebycrest Road when it struck a small SUV head-on that was attempting to turn left onto Bridge Street.
The impact threw the driver into the windshield before he hit the ground.
The 20-year-old driver of the SUV wasn’t hurt.
Police said alcohol and speed were not factors, and the crash is still under investigation.
