KTM RC390 Leaked to world...from Canada!

Small bikes.... Isn't there something magical about them?.... The only time I didn't like them when your first Chinese batch of the black rockets made me stuck on the infield at TMP and you had to give me tow.... LOL

But the whole day felt like the bike really didn't matter.... Many people still don't get it.... Shame.

Infinitely more fun to ride a slow bike fast than a fast bile slowly.

I've heard that a thousand times but honestly I'd rather ride a MotoGP bike at slightly above the speed limit than flog a CBR 125 for all it's worth.

Can't agree more... but personally would still prefer to be on a fast bike riding slowly... pretty much like would you rather be in a Mini copper s driving fast down the twisties or rather be in a Lamborghini but in stop and go traffic

I'd rather be in the Mini on twisty roads than a Laborghini *anywhere* short of a high-speed racetrack, nevermind in stop and go traffic. Those cars are nothing but a pain in the tail under any other circumstances. Can't see out of them, no ground clearance, can't see ahead or around because they're too low, and they're too wide (no room to work with in your lane), and the suspension is too stiff to work well on real-world rough roads. In traffic, forget about it. Awful - they're not designed for those circumstances. As for the posing value, I don't care. The current Mini, on the other hand, is among the best-handling front-drive production cars out there. And you can see out of it, and it's not too wide.

Yeah but haven't you heard? You'll be getting sexual favors from random women in the lambo which should make the commute more bearable!

Riding slow bikes fast is always a good time. Will always remember getting passed by mxs at GBM at such a slow pace we could have a conversation going down the back straight.

FZR250RR > DRZ440SM by about 3km/h lol

LOL ... we were just talking about it with Mark today at ice house. I will never forget that moment. The high pitch 18K whine passing 7K single cylinder burp .... by 3km/h .... epic.

Amen to that .... Mosport was fun in Jag F-two seater, but that's about it .... for a twisty street, can I pls keep my Mini-S go-kart?

The slow bike fast part for sure.....

I'm not sure what lambo you've been driving in though. Countach sucked for vision as do most of them really... but too low? My gti is lower by a landslide, stiffer and sucks in traffic and I still don't mind it. More practical than a lambo? For sure. Would I say no to a gallardo? Not a chance.

For reference: this is not low and it's how they sit stock.

I have a button on my bike for speed bumps, it's called a clutch. ;)

KTM 390 will NOT be coming to Canada, the Duke 690 is NOT made in Austria, Royal Enfield is building factories to achieve 500000 units in 2014, while KTM made 85000 units last year.

totally untrue. Drove my murcielago and gallardo in all kinds of traffic , over speed bumps, into underground garages and they were fine. Do I prefer country roads? Sure but I prefer those even when driving my pick up truck.

Source pls for this? .... "KTM 390 will NOT be coming to Canada" ... now, are you talking about Duke 390 or RC390? ... Duke 390 is confirmed for US I believe (which means it will be most likely sold here ...), nobody knows yet about RC390 because it was just revealed weeks ago.

I really want to know where you think is Duke 690 made? Because there's only two places where KTM assembles bikes ... Mattinghofen, Austria and Chakan, India .... It's known that KTM doesn't sell 690 in Asia, nor would they sell many 690's there, so manufacturing them would make no sense. That factory equipped to make Duke 125, 200 and 390.

Duke 690 is made in India, and no 390 engines have been slated for emissions testing by DOT Canada, therefore NO bikes utilizing the 390 engine will be sold in Canada. I work at a KTM dealership.

Seriously do. Read it again I was refering to Duke 125-390. It's a known fact that Chakan factory does NOT make 690 so I wonder which other Indian factory makes 690 since Tony posted the information .... read here http://www.autocarindia.com/auto-news/bajaj-chakan-factory-on-strike-348367.aspx
http://www.indiancarsbikes.in/motor...jaj-auto-chakan-deliveries-on-schedule-71778/

Not that it matters much, but I think Tony has it wrong. Think about it, why would KTM make 690 in India when they haven't even sold 690 there. An announcement was made last week that they will start offering it as of 2014. It just doesn't make any sense especially if you consider that Europe is a home market to 690 ...

BTW, that strike they are talking in the articles did cost me my 390. I had a deposit down on one and unfortunately it didn't make it in time due to the strike.
