Can't you get a 2 stroke to 4 stroke conversion kit?

I thought you can only convert 2 stroke to 5 stroke?

N/m, 5 stroke, I mixed up engine types. Gas engines are 2 or 4 stroke. Electric engines are 5 stroke. Right? It's confusing I know. Threw you off too.

THIS review says that the Duke 390 will be available in every one of KTMs markets at 3:20.

I would be surprised if it didnt get here.

3/20, great! but honestly though the bike looks small, like a ninja 250 size. Suggest getting 690 duke.

According to KTM Turkey, this bike is only a protype at the moment and its fate will be decided sometime in the summer (probably after seeing how all the new models are doing).

It likely won't be until late this year or maybe even next year.

The rep at the manufacturer show said to me they're expecting it next year at the earliest. Something about quality control has to be up before they send it here? Not sure what the deal is

Would people really drop over 10g for a 43hp?

Not many. No official word on pricing yet, but I expect it will be high. It'll likely be a solid performer though as most ktm's are.

That certainly is not true .... the launch has been delayed if anything, but surely they are past prototype ... the bike is not that much different from Duke 390 ... they share many components.

No need to. the bike will retail for around 5000GBP .... that should put it much lower than 10K CAD ..... KTM Canada is selling Duke 690 for 10K MSRP .... RC390 at 10K would make zero sense, even for KTM ... LOL

Yeah, no denying quality and capability but I just meant that for less money, someone could get a CBR500 and still be faster and the insurance bracket is still under 600cc SS class and cheaper because of 30% ish price difference.

And Ive heard that the RC390 will be a little bit more, but not much more, than the Duke 390. I would expect the Duke 390 to sell for a lot less than the Duke 690.

Im lusting for a 2009/2010 Duke 690 these days, but this new RC390 is eye catching (although completely different in every way!)

Pics or it didn't happen.... Thought so.

Cbr125 is a vespa with fairings.

CBR500 will most likely attract quite a bit different end customer .... I am not sure what exactly you mean by "still be faster", but you probably don't realize that RC390 will have better power/weight ratio than the CBR500 .... there will simply not be much better sport oriented bike under 500cc. CBR will be probably cheaper, but that's not at what KTM is trying to beat Honda.
