I'm calling my bookie - I'm betting on a long, storied career as the main attraction at your local strip joint once she turns legal.

Hum, why kids need to do video about everything these days?

sigh..

What's crazy is that with the internet and Google, you can find out about anything in a matter of seconds. How is it that this era has access to so much information yet kids are stupid?

Because youth these days are so used to having instant access to information, that they no longer can retain information as well. And since they can google anything they don't feel the need to try and actually learn things. From what I've read that their brains and changing at a very fast rate because of the rapid change in information access.

Unfortunately there are quite a few people like the chick in this video. I learned that when I started going to college after university, College students seem very very different. I don't like it

Thank you, this makes sense.

I had a similar discussion with a friend about phone numbers. I remember growing up when cell phones didn't exist and we had to remember all our friends' phone numbers; I knew every single number off by heart but now I only know a handful!

I guess kids these days don't remember anything useful or care to remember!

Lack of information was never the problem IMO, it was always lack of critical thinking.

EDIT: Having I watched the video I'm thinking she was just playing dumb.

True, but the near-instant access to this information is what Jay-d is getting at I think. In the old days if someone asked you a question you either recited from memory or went to the library to look up an answer. But today, why commit anything to memory when you can whip out your smartphone and look it up? I'm not immune... I find myself doing this alarmingly often.

One could argue this is part of our evolution. Imagine a future where the coalescing of biology and technology is fully realized. Instant online access would become a part of our cognitive functioning.

The only thing in that girls future is more videos, likely the gang bang variety.

:banghead:

I hope her dad sees this video and shoots her computer with a .45, then sends her to a good private school.
Unbelievable. Someone send her the link for Google please.

You know it's funny, I only know my best friend's phone number, who had a cellphone way before I did. I don't even know my gf's or my mom's number. I always had a weird memory though. Even before everything was online I remembered concepts without details. Everyone around me says I know a lot of random concept, without details, but I cant memorize a phone number between a text message and the dial pad. I am really glad information is so easy to find. After all information stored in the brain can very easily be corrupted. Critical thinking and knowing what to do with the information is much more important than memorization.

I strongly believe information is a lot more accurate these days. The older crowd knowledge is often full of myths and misinformation because it was collected by word of mouth. It's very frustrating when you get in arguments with elders who know it all from life. They are still "right" even though you just read articles on the subject recently :\

I'll go with the critical thinking idea. That's one thing I really appreciated about attending a good Canadian high school after a lifetime of cramming stuff in the Eastern European elementary school system.
