honda shadow plug change

Hey guys I'm trying to get my plugs out of my 2001 honda shadow spirit. The 13/16 won't fit, what size is the plug? Is there a special tool I need to get them out?

Use the spark plug tool that came with the bike.

I just helped the neighbour with the same exact bike.

If there is no tool kit with the bike, perhaps a dealership or bike shop could help you out?

I see your in Pickering, Pickering motorsports, Gp Bikes or Royal would certainly have it or order it.

If it's a Honda, it's definitely a METRIC spark plug tool/socket.

Go to parts source or someplace like that. They have thouse discount tools. I got a swivel neck wrench and sparkplug and extension set for like $6

Definitely Metric. Most likely 18mm but I can't say for sure. Take the new plug to Canadian Tire and see which spark plug socket fits.

Thanks for all the help fella's I will go to crappy tire tonight and see what I can get that will fit down the whole, the manual calls for NGK plugs, are those going to be metric aswell?

I just checked... NGK DPR8EA-9... you will need an 18mm spark plug socket.
