I was just reading about HRC using these rear brake "reservoirs" that are just hoses with a cap on the end. Can someone exlain to me how that's supposed to work?

It just holds the fluid, it's not under pressure.

But I understand that there's no vent, so how does the fluid get drawn into the brake lines when needed?

None of those riders are using the rear brake anyway.

Many Roadracers do not, the hose-only solution has been used since the dawn of racing.

Aprilia 125cc GP bike, 6K, eh? Aprilia's inflated factory pricing was the one reason Moto 3 had to be implemented. The cost of competitive machine was ridiculous.

the $6k aprillia wouldn't even stay in the draft of the bike above.

A true race aprillia is going to run you $30k for a bottom feeder unit.
